ESTABLISHED 1981 - Authors of probably the first "Ethical Geology Guidelines", as a companion document to the first Museums Association 1977 "Code of Ethics". Providing a free service from highly experienced Members of the "Museums Association" and "Geological Curators Group", offering educational research and advice, including facilitating sourcing of Geology material under the "Ethical Trading Initiative", and the Museums Association "Code Of Ethics" and "Guidelines - Commercial Trading", for Collections, Research, Educational Handling Boxes for Schools, and Commercial Retail material.
ETHICAL GEOLOGY - Material is possible for Curatorial use, Research, Education Teams, School visit handling boxes to reflect your Collection, Exhibition or Local Area, as well as Commercial Geology for Retail use, all fully compliant with the latest MA Ethical Code and Guidelines:-
1. To serve an Educational Purpose and to be of Public Benefit.
2. To be relevant in reflecting the Collection, Exhibition, or Local Area.
3. To be Ethically Sourced, from Regulated, Audited or Visited mines and factories with no Human Rights, Forced or Child Labour concerns.
4. To be Genuine Geology - no Fake, Dyed or Mis-represented Geology - and especially no unscientific claims regarding "Healing Properties" of Geology.

THE UKGP FUND - Take advantage of the "UKGP Fund" to dispose of any Geology material which does not comply with the latest MA "Code" and "Guidelines", maximum £300 per Museum. Simply arrange to replace any controversial Geology material you may inadvertently have with that which complies with the Educational and Ethical requirements of the Code and Guidelines.
